Green Forum is a political foundation with the mission to accelerate the transition to sustainable democratic societies. We do this by supporting Green Political organisations and parties as well as actors who work for green principles in political systems. We collaborate with partners in Eastern Europe, Africa and Latin America.
Green Forum is looking for a Grants Manager and controller to join our office in Stockholm. You will be responsible for two partners in Africa and supporting the organisation as a whole to achieve high quality programming, compliance and reporting (including audits). You will work closely to the Secretary General and Program managers to ensure timely reporting and compliance with donor requirements and internal procedures. You will also support the Secretary General with financial management, including preparing financial reports, follow up and prognosis for board meetings and donors.
We are looking for someone who is structured, accurate and has an eye for details. You will be responsible for our policy and organisational support program and our new EU-program Women and Youth in Democracy Initiative. You will be responsible for the whole process – from writing applications to assessing plans and budgets, and monitoring, follow-up and audits. The work includes travels to Africa and Eastern Europe and requires that you are fluent in English.

Tasks include:
- Project management and project development
- Partner management including budgeting, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting
- Assessing partners’ financial statements, audit reports and supporting documentation
- Organisational development, process design, procedures and policies
- Responsible for the organisation’s risk management including anti-corruption
- Support overview and maintenance of all grants, donor requirements, rules and regulations, and internal and external deadlines
- Support the development of donor applications and reports, as well as ensuring donor compliance and quality control
- Contribute to the development and review of funding proposals, budgets, and donor reports
- Contribute to continuously improve internal grant management systems
- Provide an internal help-desk on donor related issues, including donor rules and regulations, as well as proposal and report writing;
- Coordinate the development and distribution of internal reports;
We are looking for:
Someone with a relevant academic education, for example in business administration, political science, international development, international relations or similar, and at least three years of experience with similar work. We hope that you have previously worked with international cooperation and/or project-funded activities.
You should:
- Have experience in project development and management, including planning, monitoring learning and evaluation, Theory of Change, risk assessments etc.
- Have experience of partner follow-up and organisational assessments.
- Have experience with contract compliance as well as internal governance and control.
- Speak and write English fluently. Our working language is English.
- Have good interpersonal skills.
